NEW JUDGE SWORN INTO THE CARIBBEAN COURT OF JUSTICE

The Honourable Mme. Justice Maureen Rajnauth-Lee was sworn in as Judge of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) on the 27th March, 2015, at a ceremony at the Office of the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. His Excellency lauded her for her “selfless sacrifice” in dedicating herself to public service and commended her achievement as “the first woman citizen of Trinidad and Tobago” to be appointed to the CCJ bench.

Mme. Justice Rajnauth-Lee has been a judge of the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago for 14 years. At present, she is the only woman judge sitting on the CCJ Bench.  The Honourable Mme. Justice Rajnauth-Lee also holds the position of Vice President of the Caribbean Association of Women Judges (CAWJ).
